Heston was a proponent of the separation of the Church and State, and
criticized the involvement of religious clergy in politics through his
satires. The boards and binding are solid and tight, with rubbing to the board’s corners. The pages are crisp and generally clean save for tape repair to the top of the title page and spots of foxing or smudges on the borders of some of the pages. The last page has a chip to the bottom corner.
